Senator Natasha Strongly Denies Receiving N500 Million from Senate President Akpabio

ABUJA, Nigeria – Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, has vehemently debunked widespread reports and rumours alleging she received the sum of N500 million from the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio.

Breaking her silence on the matter which had gained traction on social media and certain online platforms, Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan categorically stated that no such transaction ever took place.

In a statement released, the Senator described the claims as “false,” “malicious,” and “baseless,” designed to tarnish her reputation and distract from her legislative duties.

“Let me be unequivocally clear: I have not received, nor have I been offered, any sum of N500 million or any amount close to it from the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio, or from anyone acting on his behalf,” Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan stated.

She further added, “Reports circulating suggesting that such a transaction occurred are an outright fabrication. There is no iota of truth in these claims, and I challenge anyone peddling these falsehoods to provide concrete evidence.”

The Senator expressed disappointment at how quickly unsubstantiated rumours can spread, causing unnecessary speculation and reputational damage. She urged the public and media outlets to exercise caution and verify information before disseminating it.

Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan maintained her focus remains on serving her constituents and contributing effectively to the legislative business of the Senate, stating that she would not be deterred or distracted by what she termed “malicious propaganda.”

The source and motive behind the alleged N500 million transfer claims remain unclear, but Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan’s firm denial aims to put an end to the speculation surrounding the matter.
